What I do
I provide editorial support for documents that are often the culmination of months of work.
Whether I'm editing an annual report, a sustainability project or a members' publication, my role is to help ensure the finished document reflects the quality of the thinking behind it.
I provide copyediting, proofreading and editorial quality assurance, working collaboratively with consultancies, charities, membership organisations, agencies and in-house communications teams to refine documents for publication.
My specialities include annual reports, sustainability reports, impact reports, editorial publications, fundraising materials, e-learning content, corporate communications and style guides.
Much of my work is confidential, but I'm happy to discuss relevant experience and provide examples where appropriate.
Who I work with
Every client works differently. Some need a final proofread before publication, while others involve me much earlier in the editorial process. I'm equally happy working independently or as part of a team, adapting my approach to suit each project.

My background in television production means I'm comfortable working to demanding deadlines, collaborating with multiple stakeholders and slotting into established teams. I particularly enjoy projects that require editorial judgement, close collaboration and an appreciation of the reader's perspective, whatever the subject matter.

About Lamees
After a 16-year career in TV production at the BBC and other leading production companies, I decided it was time for a change. I retrained as a copyeditor and proofreader, and soon realised I'd found the career that suited me.
One of the things I love most about my work is the opportunity to immerse myself in subjects I might never otherwise have encountered. Every project teaches me something new.
I'm based in Kingston upon Thames, so when I'm not working you’ll usually find me exploring galleries and museums, catching the latest film or enjoying a long walk in Richmond Park – one of my favourite places in the world.
